Become acquainted with the history of the city of Weimar at the WEIMAR HAUS and follow Johann Wolfgang von Goethe on a suspenseful journey through time, into the past history of the city.

Thanks to the cooperation of historians of the Goethe National Museum, various writers and stage directors, visual, audio and light specialists, as well as
an international team of entertainment
technicians, film-makers, wax figure and stage craftsmen, the “Historical Experience” was created, which awaits you on over 500 m2 of ace.

The most important periods, the foundation of the myth of Weimar, are produced right in front of your eyes in seven rooms full of experiences.

A combination of scenery, wax figures, special effects and multi-media presentation tells the suspenseful story of the city and invites you to experience it with all your senses. Weimar owes its significance not only to the classics. Moreover, a number of historical events and the influence of important figures over various periods led to Weimar’s singular situation and its fame today.
